Jonathan James

24th June - 5th July

Jonathan James is a Sydney based printmaker currently completing a Masters
of Visual Arts at Sydney College of Arts. His art explores the arguably
baroque nature of relationships between people and place in contemporary
life. James' visual narratives play on viewers imagination by referencing
cinema and advertising. This exhibition, titled Heliotrope, is based on
two men, their environment, and the journey one man takes towards the
other. Its a loose meditation on desire, reality, enlightenment and the
stories we create for ourselves that make a history, personality and
predict our future.
